Make Me Laugh, Make Me Cry

"Make me laugh, Make me cry" looks at how art has become an instrument for commercial and social means where in our times the boundaries between art, entertainment and popular culture are blurred. It proposes the question; "if art in today's global economic global market has become a tool for commercial means?"
What are our expectations of performers on stage? Are we now unconsciously conditioned to be stimulated through interaction with someone or something? Art is competing for consumers time, money in a time of mass consumerist culture where art is becoming more about marketing diplomacy rather than content and innovation. People under 30 infatuated with reality T.V and over 40 are consumed with lifestyle packages in promise of a great life. This performance brings into question the value of art in a time of capital production.
